CardioPractice - Volume 37

The January volume of CardioPractice centres on the relationship between the heart and mental health conditions. Prof. Simona Dragan, task force member of the recently released 2025 ESC Clinical Consensus Statement on mental health and cardiovascular disease, presents person-centred strategies for managing comorbid mental and cardiovascular disease (CV). Complementing the article are two podcasts, both hosted by Assoc. Prof. Ruxandra Christodorescu, Past Chair of the Council of Cardiology Practice. In the first, Prof. Hector Bueno, Chair of the task force on cardiovascular diseases and mental health, will discuss sex differences concerning mental health conditions in several CV diseases. The second will host Prof. Martha Farrero, also a member of the guideline’s task force, speaking about mental health conditions related to heart failure.
This volume also includes a special interview/podcast with ESC President Prof. Cecilia Linde and CardioPractice’s Editor-in-Chief, Marc Ferrini.
