The overall objective of this section is to facilitate implementation of CVD prevention by providing information on prevention in ESC National Cardiac Societies and Affiliated Cardiac Societies to inspire both national coordinators and others in the field of preventive cardiology.
This is an EAPC Prevention Implementation Committee (PIC) initiative, led by Prof. Joep Perk.
Get more information about the National CVD Prevention Coordinators, appointed by the Presidents of National Cardiac Societies.
With the rapid development of preventive cardiology, the interest has grown not only to be informed about one specific country but also to compare different European countries. “The Overview of Preventive Cardiology in Europe” is a valuable source of information and is based on the "Country of the Month" reports of the National CVD Prevention Coordinators from ESC National Cardiac Societies.
There are two main topics:
Cardiac Rehabilitation CVD Prevention
Iceland (December 2013)
Israel (statistics update 2019)
Russian Federation (2014)
The Country of the Month initiative is now open to ESC Affiliated Cardiac Societies. With the publication of the first country report from Argentina, EAPC is launching this global extension. Other countries will follow in the coming months.
