Who We Are
Supporting general cardiologists in everyday practice
Created in 2000, the ESC Council for Cardiology Practice brings together office-based cardiologists with a shared passion for general cardiology.
With over 1,700 members worldwide and a dedicated volunteer board, the Council works to improve standards of care through education, collaboration, and clinical leadership. We develop tailored content for ESC Congress, produce the CardioPractice newsletter, contribute to ESC Guidelines, and create webinars and position papers that reflect the realities of daily practice. Through surveys, social media, and ongoing dialogue, we stay connected to the needs of our community – ensuring general cardiologists are equipped to deliver high-quality care across the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease.
