A 10-year anniversary event will be held in the new ESC Professional Members Garden on Saturday to commemorate the past and look to the future. Chair of the ESC Membership Committee, Professor Marco Roffi, who will host the event, says: “We will celebrate this important landmark and acknowledge those who have helped to develop professional membership, from national societies and volunteers to members who have been faithful to ESC over the past decade.“

In addition to the immediate benefits of access to science, membership provides invaluable support to cardiology specialists at every stage of their career. It can also be an important part of the journey towards becoming a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC). Prof. Roffi notes, “Becoming an ESC Professional Member and Fellow of the ESC connected me with an international network and has been one of the main drivers of my career. At the same time, it has allowed me to get in touch with so many inspiring people, which I found very enriching on a personal level.”
