The European Heart Journal – Acute Cardiovascular Care (EHJ-ACVC) is the official, international, peer-reviewed journal of the Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC), of the ESC.
Aim and scope
EHJ-ACVC publishes impactful, peer-reviewed materials, with a clinical perspective, on all aspects of acute cardiac and intensive care. There is a focus on diseases such as acute heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, valvular disease, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, cardiac arrhythmias, and general intensive care in cardiovascular patients. The journal offers a unique integrative approach, combining the expertise of the different subspecialties within cardiology, emergency and intensive care medicine in the management of patients with acute and/or critical disease. The journal includes original research, consensus papers, and articles that discuss interdisciplinary daily clinical practice, with dedicated space as well for educational materials such as reviews, practical guides and how-to articles.
