The ESC was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of of Professor Ronen Beeri, FESC.
Professor Beeri was a highly respected cardiologist, and a committed contributor to the ESC's educational activities. He played a key role in advancing education within the ESC, notably through his work and leadership as Chair of the ESC Council on Educational Standards, where he actively supported the development of high‑quality, structured educational frameworks for cardiovascular professionals.
“Through his expertise, engagement, and thoughtful guidance, Professor Beeri made a lasting contribution to ESC Education and to the wider cardiovascular community. His input was always marked by rigour, collegiality, and a strong commitment to excellence in training and professional development” said Prof. Theresa McDonagh, ESC Education Committee Chair 2026-2026.
The ESC extends its sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working with him. His contribution to cardiovascular education and to the ESC will be gratefully remembered.
