Junjie Pan et al. argue that analysis of paraspeckles, membraneless organelles formed from the long, non-coding RNA Neat1 by liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS), may prove to be an effective RNA-based therapeutic pathway for preventing pathological cardiac remodelling that leads to heart failure.
