Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Workshops
ESC Congress 2026, Munich & Online, 28–31 August
These 90 minutes refresher workshops are provided free of charge.
A certificate of attendance will be provided by the ERC after the congress.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) workshop
This session will focus on state-of-the-art Advanced Life Support (ALS) techniques applicable in in-hospital scenarios, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and coordination during resuscitation efforts.
After this workshop, participants will realise what it takes to take on a team leader role in a resuscitation scenario and demonstrate the universal ALS algorithm according to the latest ERC guidelines. Qualified instructors will guide you through this hands-on training, and you will have the opportunity to seek feedback and clarification on any doubts you may have.
This workshop will take place in the dedicated CPR workshop area in Hall B1. A certificate of attendance will be provided by the ERC after the congress.
Basic Life Support (BLS) workshop
After this workshop, participants will be able to demonstrate the professional Basic Life Support (BLS) algorithm according to the latest ERC guidelines. Additionally, participants will be able to perform high-quality chest compressions, demonstrate the correct use of an AED during BLS, and perform bag-mask ventilations. Qualified instructors will guide you through this hands-on training, and you will have the opportunity to seek feedback and clarification on any doubts you may have.
This workshop will take place in the dedicated CPR workshop area in Hall B1. A certificate of attendance will be provided by the ERC after the congress.
IMPORTANT: If you already hold a valid BLS certificate (one that has not expired yet), you can participate in re-certification during BLS workshops. To do so you just need to show competence in Basic CPR skills onsite.
