This year again, we’re bringing the innovative Simulation Village – your chance to get an exclusive first look at the latest sophisticated simulators and test them in small, hands-on groups.

Hands-on training, real-world techniques, and expert guidance to elevate your interventional practice.

The Simulation Village offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and deepen your understanding of this evolving field through guided initiation sessions. It’s also an ideal setting to connect and exchange with peers.

This dedicated learning pathway provides a practical overview of the fundamentals of interventional approaches to disease management, with a special focus on cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) and cardiac arrhythmia ablation.

By combining the expertise of industry partners – delivering cutting-edge technologies tailored to various interventions – with EHRA’s excellence in education and proctoring, the programme is designed to offer an innovative, high-quality learning experience for all delegates.

Workshop 1 - Implantation of a conduction system pacing lead
- Understand the radiological heart anatomy
- Learn how to reach the area of interest at the interventricular septum with a long sheath
- Learn how and where to implant a conduction system pacing lead with the help of a simulator

Workshop 2 - Extraction of intravascular lead
- Learn how to prepare safely the patient before starting a lead extraction
- Understand the radiological heart anatomy
- Learn how to extract an endovascular lead with a powered sheath using a simulator

Workshop 3 - Epicardial ablation: access strategies and procedural solutions
- Understand how epicardial/endocardial ablation address unmet clinical needs in arrhythmia
  treatment
- Discover the epicardial options for treating complex AF, VTs and IST
- Experience hybrid techniques with hands-on simulation

Workshop 4 - How to perform PVI with 3D mapping guided PFA
- Understand the 3-D heart anatomy

Workshop 5 - Advanced LA mapping and PVI hands-on experience

Workshop 6 - Venous access closure device

Workshop 8 - How to perform PVI with 3D mapping guided point-by-point ablation - EP Essentials
- Navigating inside the left atrium with mapping and ablation catheters
- Creating a full geometrical model of the LA
- Performing circumferential PVI, confirming entry and exit block
- Interpreting mapping/ablation signals and understanding PVP behavior
- Conducting safe ablation while avoiding complications (phrenic nerve injury, stenosis, LAA damage)

Registration

Eligibility and rules

As an EHRA 2026 delegate, you can register for one of the workshops.
Each workshop can accommodate a maximum of three participants.
The fee for one session is €20.
You need to be registered for the congress to sign up for one of the workshops in the Simulation Village.

Kindly note that it is not possible to make any changes, cancellations or refunds to your bookings once registered. EHRA rules and general conditions are applied to the registrations for the Simulation Village.
