  • Wednesday 14 February 2018, midnight CET - Deadline to submit your abstract
  • Late April 2018 - Abstract results announcement. An email will be sent to each submitter
  • 25 May 2018 - Deadline to confirm presentation, presenter name and submit agreement form
  • 31 May 2018 - Early registration deadline - All abstract presenters must register for the Congress

Registration offers

Special registration fee for abstract presenters aged 35 and under starting at €195 is available (conditions apply).

Free registration:

  • Presenters aged 35 or under of an accepted abstract in the topic Basic Science or category Bench.
  • Presenters coming from countries (members of the ESC) with low and middle income economies (World Bank list): Armenia, Egypt, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Morocco, Syrian Arab Republic, Tunisia and Ukraine.
  • Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted for a Young Investigators Awards or Nursing / Allied Professional Investigator Award session.

ESC Congress Awards

Young Investigator Awards

Selected for the outstanding quality of their work, four Young Investigators will be competing in each session for a prestigious ESC Award presenting their original research in front of a jury. The awards will be focused on Basic Science - Clinical - Thrombosis - Population Sciences - Coronary Pathophysiology and microcirculation - NEW for 2018 - Valvular Heart Disease (Spotlight of the Congress)

The ESC will grant each winner with a prize of €2,000 and finalists will each receive a prize of €1,000

Nursing and Allied Professions Investigator Award

This award aims to recognise significant contributions from new investigators in cardiovascular nursing and allied professions.
The ESC will grant the winner with a prize of €2,000 and finalists will each receive a prize of €1,000.

Moderated Poster Winners

Moderated Posters presenters will be in competition for the "best Moderated Poster" to win a free registration for next year's ESC Congress.
