Congress Grants

This year again, EHRA supports the presentation of top-notch research by offering free onsite registration for EHRA 2027 to abstract and clinical case presenters around the world who have little or no access to funding or difficulties in obtaining financial assistance.

Grantees are required to attend the congress in Helsinki from 11 to 13 April 2027.  

EHRA’s annual congress is a prime opportunity to present your cutting-edge research and clinical findings to a wide range of practitioners. European regulations prohibit direct sponsorship of congress delegates, creating a barrier to attend for some medical professionals and students. To make attendance possible to a broad range of delegates, EHRA offers congress educational grants.

Application process

  • Please ensure that your My ESC profile is up to date, paying particular attention to “My personal details” and “My activities”
  • The official language of the application is English
  • All application fields are mandatory
  • The number of EHRA Congress Educational Grants is limited. Interested applicants are asked to submit this form promptly and incomplete application forms will not be considered

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • a citizen or permanent resident of an ESC member country & Affiliated countries
  • Applicants need to be EHRA member at the time of submission and their membership should remain valid until EHRA Congress included

Please note: Applicants are eligible to receive one source of funding only.

To ensure fair and transparent distribution, the EHRA Selection Committee will receive all applications and rank them based on the following predefined applicant criteria:

  • Age
  • Abstracts accepted in previous EHRA congresses
  • EHRA Certification exam
  • Stage in career
  • Experience
  • Number of publications in the last five years within the field of arrhythmias

Conditions

The timeline

  • Application deadline is 5 November 2026
  • Review of applications and selection of recipients: November 2026
  • Successful applicants will be notified mid-December 2026
