ESC Congress 2026 - see you in Munich
ESC Congress 2026 takes place in Munich, Germany, from 28 to 31 August, at Messe München congress centre. If you haven't registered yet, this is the moment to do it. We have selected a handful of sessions we believe are especially relevant for our community, covering genetic and molecular mechanisms of atherosclerosis, liver-heart crosstalk, the evolving landscape of PCSK9 inhibition, novel lipid-lowering targets beyond LDL, and vascular ageing (full list and links below). Come find us during the congress, and don't forget to share your experience on X and LinkedIn using #AtheroMatters.
Working group elections - thank you for voting
Thank you to everyone who took part in the recent Nucleus, Secretary, and Chair-Elect elections. The exceptionally high turnout is a clear sign of how vibrant and engaged our community is, and we are grateful for the trust and energy you bring to the working group. Applications for the Best Translational Paper award closed on 31 July. We thank everyone who submitted their work, and we look forward to announcing the winner shortly.
