The results of the ESC Council on Stroke 2026-2028 elections have been finalised.
Thank you to all members who participated in the voting process and contributed to the democratic selection of our new representatives. They will play an important role in advancing the council's mission and supporting our strategic priorities in education, science, clinical practice, and community engagement.
Congratulations go out to the new elected members. We look forward to working with them to continue strengthening the voice and impact of our council within the larger cardiology community.

To be eligible to vote, members must have paid their dues at least six months before the call for application. Only Council Members having settled their membership dues by 13 October 2025 (i.e.: six months before the call for candidates opened on 13 April 2026) and with a valid membership subscription at the time the voting starts (10 June 2026) will have voting rights.
The Councils election application process and voting will be carried out in accordance with the ESC bylaws (Annex VII).
Only members of the respective councils originating from an ESC member country (as defined in article 3 of ESC Statutes) are eligible for a Nucleus position. Candidates must also be ESC Professional Members or FESC, and members of the respective councils in good standing, with voting rights at the date of the opening of the call for applications.
