The 1st ACCA School dealt with practical aspects of acutely diseased patients from our cardiac care setting. It was a place of learning, sharing knowledge and networking with colleagues from different backgrounds. Mainly hands-on, it allowed putting in practice problem solving in the challenging context of acute cardiac care. Claudio Guerreiro, Portugal

The ACCA School

Within the field of Acute Cardiovascular Care, practical training deserves a special focus.

Starting in 2015 at the association’s annual congress, a practical ACCA School has been introduced, comprising two practical sessions dealing with ventilation and renal replacement. Following the success of this first attempt, the project was extended in 2016 to three sessions repeated twice, and lead to the idea of organising ACCA school outside of the annual congress.

ACCA School 2017 is a stand-alone school with 2 days of hand-on sessions focused on interaction and practical training into real-life applications. The School will be held in a Hospital with dedicated sessions in an operating theatre and simulation center.

As an option, participant's knowledge could be officially recognised by partaking in the ACCA certification process on Saturday 4 November.

The ACCA School 2017 will focus on interaction and practical training on the most important topics and issues encountered when working within the field of acute cardiovascular medicine.

Seats are limited to 60 people.
