Gain a new perspective in the Lounge & Exchange Area

The ESC has brought its very own cardiology-related ‘Cube Experiences’ to Barcelona, the original heart of Picasso’s cubism.

Known previously as the ESC Plaza, the new Lounge & Exchange Area is home to eight cubes, each highlighting different aspects of the ESC’s mission. Visit the ‘World of Data’, surround yourself with the ‘Pulsing Heart of the Congress,’ start ‘Your Journey with ESC Education’ and explore the full member benefits through ‘You are the ESC.’

You can listen to the voices behind the ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines, understand how the ESC translates science into policy and why you should get involved, while discovering the ESC’s approach to diversity and community. Lastly, in the ‘Step Towards a Greener Future’ Cube, find out how the ESC is striving to improve its environmental sustainability practices. While you’re there, calculate your own travel emissions and learn more about how you can offset them! You will also be able to let us know how you think the ESC can further reduce its environmental impact.

As you visit each cube, get your ‘passport’ stamped and note down opportunities you've seen to take personal action in support of the ESC's mission. And with your fully stamped passport, you will return home with a great souvenir of your congress experience and greater knowledge of how the ESC can help you with your daily practice.

Also within the Lounge & Exchange Area are the FESC Lounge and ESC Professional Members Lounge, offering a place for quiet reflection or for a chance to network with colleagues, old and new. Dedicated activities, including a series of presentations, will run throughout the congress – with coffee and ice creams on hand to keep you refreshed!
