Call for abstracts - EHRA 2018

Clinical Case session

Organised by the EHRA Young Electrophysiologists committee, this session allows physicians from the Young EP community to submit their most challenging, puzzling, rewarding or clinically relevant cases to discuss them with an expert in the field.

Topics to be covered are:

  • Arrhythmias diagnosis
  • Arrhythmias treatment
  • Arrhythmias general clinical
  • AF diagnosis
  • AF treatment
  • AF stoke prevention
  • AF clinical
  • SVT diagnosis
  • SVT treatment
  • Syncope diagnosis
  • Syncope treatment
  • Syncope clinical
  • VT diagnosis
  • VT treatment
  • VT clinical
  • Endocarditis

The case presenter will be paired to an opinion leader and invited to give a 20 minutes presentation, during which input from the presenter, expert opinion leader and from the audience is expected. Interactive voting system will be used please prepare 4-5 key questions related to your case presentation. Only Young EP members can submit cases. 

Feel free to submit as many cases as you want, but keep every case restricted to one topic.

 The submitter of the best case presentation will receive a Travel Grant ( 2000 € upon receipt of original invoices) for EHRA 2018.

Award Eligibility 

  • You must be an EHRA 2017 member
  • You must be 35 years old or younger or no more than 3 years out of training if over 40 years old
  • You have to present the case yourself.

Choose your submission option

At the time of submission, please choose one of the  abstracts submission options (changes are not allowed after submission).

  • No Option - applies for standard submission
  • Young Investigator Award Session - Basic Science
  • Young Investigator Award Session - Clinical

Two YIA sessions will be chaired by senior faculty members: one dedicated to Clinical Research and another to Basic Science.

The selected finalists will present their research in these dedicated oral sessions, and a panel of experts will judge the presentations and determine the winners.

Abstract submitted within this option and not selected for an YIA session will be automatically considered for the oral abstract sessions or for the Young EP Poster Sessions.

Submit in this option to benefit from:

  • Free registration for EHRA 2018
  • Prizes: First Prize Winner (€ 1000) and two Runners-Up (€ 250)


  • Your abstract(s) must be accepted at EHRA 2018 in a Young investigator Award Session
  • You must be the presenter of your abstract(s)
  • You must be 35 years old or younger or 40 years old if you are still in training (An official statement both signed and stamped by the Head of Department will be requested)
