National Cardiac Societies
The foundation upon which we build the future of cardiology
The European Society of Cardiology was founded in 1950 by 14 National Cardiac Societies. Today we are proud to count 58 National Cardiac Society members from across Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
Our institutional members vote at European Society of Cardiology elections and at the General Assembly, and actively participate in shaping ESC activities. Our National Cardiac Society members are instrumental across ESC activities, including data collection, reviewing and disseminating ESC Guidelines, delivering the ESC Exam in Core Cardiology, and supporting heart-healthy policy and regulation, to name but a few.
