We are proud to announce the next edition of the HFA Winter Meeting, the HFA’s premier forum for basic and translational heart failure research, in the vibrant and ever-evolving city of Berlin, where science meets history.
Since its inception in 1983 by Professor Dirk Brutsaert, founding president of the HFA from 2004 to 2006, and with Nobel Laureate and β-blockers pioneer, Sir James Whyte Black as chair, this meeting has grown into a landmark event for cutting-edge discovery, networking, and scientific excellence in heart failure.
The HFA Winter Meeting offers a uniquely interactive environment with ample room for fruitful discussions and opportunities for new stimulating collaborations, including exchange with industry representatives getting insights on the industry viewpoint on translation. The programme consists of formal lectures by invited faculty members, poster presentations of highly selected abstracts, an industry session, and scientific bootcamps. The sessions span from bench to bedside, fostering innovative ideas and encouraging collaboration between basic science and clinical practice through a dynamic, multidisciplinary spirit.Apply to be part of this tradition and drive translational heart failure research!

Call for abstracts
The call for abstracts is extended until the 23 October 12:00 (noon) CEST.
The abstracts accepted and presented during the meeting will be published in an online abstract supplement of the European Journal of Heart Failure (Impact Factor 2023: 18.174).
