ESC Working Group on Thrombosis news

Dear Members and Friends,

Welcome to this edition of the Working Group Thrombosis newsletter.
We have a lot of exiting news to share with you.

Firstly, we have successfully launched the official ESC Working Group on Thrombosis social media accounts, which serve as platforms to engage with our members, share key scientific content, and promote our activities. I encourage you all to follow and stay updated:

LinkedIn   X (Twitter)

Secondly, I am delighted to announce and invite you to the next meeting of our Working Group on Thrombosis, the ESC Heart & Stroke and EuroThrombosis 2025, which will be a joint meeting between our group and the ESC Council on Stroke.

The conference will take place in Milan, one of Europe’s most important scientific and cultural centres, from 15 to 16 November 2025, in the beautiful renaissance setting of the University of Milan's headquarters. This year, ESC EuroThrombosis 2025 will run jointly with ESC Heart & Stroke 2025, in the same venue in Milan, and registration will cover full attendance at both meetings.

You will have the opportunity to hear the latest updates and interact with colleagues and experts in the field, with plenary and state-of-the art lectures. We will have sessions dedicated to the latest in atherothrombosis and discuss evidence-based recommendations to personalise care to achieve optimal outcomes, including in ACS, CCS, VTE, AF and complex and challenging clinical scenarios including in coronary and pulmonary intervention. In addition, we have dedicated sessions focusing on special populations such as patients with cancer, shock, chronic kidney disease and haematological predisposition to bleeding.

Join us at ESC Heart & Stroke and EuroThrombosis 2025 and interact with an outstanding international faculty, network with peers, form friendships and establish research collaborations.

Please also submit your research and interesting clinical case reports to us – our portal is now live for submission. There will be prizes for the best clinical and research abstracts, as well as best clinical case presentations.

The call for candidates for the Young Researchers Group Nucleolus is now open, and we encourage motivated young researchers and clinicians to apply by 12 May at 23:59 CEST. More details can be found here.

Stay tuned on social media and meantime plan your visit to join us in Milano in November!

All my best wishes

Diana
