Where to find the ESC Professional Members Lounge

Enter the IFEMA venue through the main entrance. The first hall on the left of the main boulevard will lead you to the Registration Desk. Then go to the end of the main avenue (Avenida) to Hall 9 and in the exchange area you will find the lounge right next to the main auditorium. If you enter by the north entrance, Hall 9 will be on your right.

Your ESC Membership Team will be delighted to welcome you at the following times:

Friday, 29 August – Sunday, 31 August: 08:00–18:00
Monday, 1 September: 08:00–17:00

The ESC Professional Members Lounge is only accessible to ESC Professional Members, Fellows of the ESC and those who have a combined ESC Professional and subspecialty Association Silver Membership.

Not yet a member? Joining is quick and easy. The ESC Membership Team will be on hand to help, so you can access the lounge as soon as possible and enjoy it throughout the congress.

Networking areas

Enjoy beverages in the refreshment area, where you can exchange and chat with your colleagues – tea, coffee and water will be served throughout the congress.
Buy food and beverages so you can enjoy your lunch or snack and recharge inside the lounge.

Work space

Catch up on your emails or print documents in the working space, where there’s free access to computers, printers and charging stations for your laptop and mobile devices.

Master-class stage

In the Masterclass Area, expert coaches will teach skills and offer guidance that could change your career. Topics will include: public speaking, becoming a Fellow of the ESC, how to publish your research, and ESC Mentoring.

A learning area where an expert coach will help you strengthen your public speaking and presentation skills during daily workshops.
Build confidence by attending Maria Tecce's workshops in the ESC Professional Members Lounge: Mastering the Art of Public Speaking and Presenting in Medical Science held on Saturday, 30 and Sunday, 31 August at 12:45-13:45 and 15:15-16:15.

Looking for a few moments to yourself? Visit the Recharge & Relax area and take time to enjoy a massage to keep in tip-top form and get the most from your congress experience.

1. Print your badge before you leave home

To ensure you can access the ESC Congress venue as quickly and easily as possible, your badge must be printed (preferably in colour) in advance and presented at the congress entrance. Please note: digital versions of the badge on mobile phones, tablets and other devices will NOT be accepted.

Your badge will be available two weeks before the congress start date in your My ESC account. Just log in, go to Congresses > My congress activity to come > Manage.

2. Get 25% off at the ESC Shop

Visit the ESC Shop to buy souvenirs, sportswear and more. As an ESC Professional Member, you get 25% off at the ESC Shop and access to limited-edition items to take home.

3. Collect your exclusive bag (reserved for ESC Professional Members)

In the lounge, you can collect your ESC Members bag (limited edition – first come, first served). New members who join during the congress at the Membership Stand will also receive one.

4. Collect your lanyard

You can collect your ESC Professional Member lanyard from the Members Lounge welcome desks anytime.

5. Exclusive Members’ & FESC event at the congress on Sunday, 31 August

We’re organising a special event to give you the chance to meet up with old friends and make new ones, in the ESC Professional Member’s Lounge.

Reserved for ESC Professional Members and Fellows of the ESC, this relaxed event is a chance to make lifelong connections and meet some of the big names in cardiology.

ESC Professional Members and Fellows of the ESC are invited to attend the ceremony to reward our most loyal members over drinks and canapés.
