The Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science is proud to offer grants, fellowship and awards to basic scientists

Research grants

ESC First Contact Initiative Grant

  • Amount: Two grants per year of €2,500
  • Aim: To provide resources for the establishment of new research links from young scientists from European institutions to hosting institutions in a foreign country, within or outside Europe, for a minimum stay of 10 calendar days.
  • Application period: April-May

 

ESC Basic Research Fellowship

  • This Grant is closed until further notice. 

Award

Outstanding Achievement Award

  • Amount: Two awards of €3,000
  • Aim: To honour basic researchers in the early stage of their career.
  • Application period: March-May

 Travel grants

The council is pleased to also offer travel grants for FCVB and Basic Science Summer School.
