Airport bus
Travelers can take either line 28 or 28B, with a journey duration of approximately 45 to 55 minutes. Buses run every 30 to 60 minutes throughout the day, although frequency may decrease in the evening. The cost of a ticket is typically around €4 to €5, making this a cost-effective option for reaching the city center from the airport.

Regular bus
Bus No. 9 provides a direct connection from the station to the Drama stop, which is situated close to Cankarjev dom. Additionally, nearby stops such as Kongresni trg and Prešernova cesta are served by multiple bus lines, including Nos. 1, 2, 3, 6, 11, 14, 17, and 19, offering various route options depending on your schedule and preference. Passengers can use the Urbana card or contactless payment methods to board these buses. The ticket system allows for 90 minutes of travel validity, enabling transfers between buses within this timeframe, which enhances flexibility and efficiency in navigating Ljubljana’s public transportation network.

Various private shuttle services operate airport shuttles between Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport and the city center, including stops near Cankarjev dom. Reservations for these shuttles can be made online or directly at the shuttle point of sale located in Terminal B of the airport. The journey typically lasts approximately 30 to 35 minutes, though travel time may vary depending on traffic and whether the shuttle is shared with other passengers. The cost also varies based on the provider and the number of passengers sharing the ride, making it a flexible option for travelers seeking direct transportation.
By Taxi
You can find taxis in all parking areas at Ljubljana Airport. In the so-called drop-off zone in front of passenger terminal B, you will find taxis* operated by the tenant PROLIST, Darko Raljič s.p., which can be recognized by a special permit that all drivers, renting taxi parking spaces at the airport (from October 15, 2024, onwards), must display visibly on their windshield.

By Bike
Ljubljana is a bike-friendly city with dedicated cycling lanes. You can rent a bike through the BicikeLJ system, which operates on a pay-per-use basis. The journey from the railway station to Cankarjev dom is approximately 2.5 km and takes about 10–15 minutes. The BicikeLJ bicycle-sharing system gives you an opportunity to hire bikes from self-service terminals located across the wider Ljubljana city centre. Two types of subscriptions are available yearly and weekly.
