Submission deadline is Sunday 20 March 2022, 12:00 noon CET. 

Beware of the peak submission time in the last days; start now drafting your abstract to submit early and to avoid the stress around the deadline.

Important Dates 

14 December 2021: Opening of the Call for Abstracts

20 March 2022: Deadline to submit your abstract

Early May: Abstract results announcement. An email will be sent to each submitter. 

31 May 2022: Early fee registration deadline – All abstract presenters must register for the congress.

30 June 2022: Deadline for the assigned presenters to confirm presentation(s) and submit the related agreement forms.

1 August 2022: Deadline for presenters to register and upload presentations. Failure to upload and register to the congress by this deadline will lead to the withdrawal of the abstract from the scientific programme and all related publications.

ESC Congress Awards

Presenters whose abstract is selected for presentation in an Award session, will receive specific instructions. Each finalist will receive an Award certificate and a prize - €2,000 for the winners and €1,000 for the runners-up - and benefit from a free registration to the congress.

Young Investigator Awards

Selected for the outstanding quality of their work, four young investigators will be competing in each session for a prestigious ESC Award presenting their original research in front of a Jury. The awards will be focused on Basic Science – Clinical Cardiology – Thrombosis – Populations Sciences – Coronary Pathophysiology and Microcirculation – Cardiac Imaging (Spotlight of the Congress).
