The EHRA Innovation Stage is for clinicians, scientists and engineers. The invention or innovation should be on the broad topic of cardiac arrhythmias and tackle a novel approach.
It could be a developed software, a new device, a new use for a drug or other small molecule, or bringing a business approach to an aspect of cardiac rhythm management that can be considered an invention.
All pre-commercial revenue stages will be considered, so the idea may be still in basic research, or have progressed all the way to early clinical trials, but it should have moved beyond the idea stage.
Two 50-minutes sessions will be organised at the Cases and Innovation Stage during the coffee breaks. Three inventors will present their innovation during 10 minutes followed by five minutes discussion. The session will be animated by the chairperson and judges will grade the presentations.
The three best innovations will have the opportunity to present their work again during the EHRA Innovation Awards, which will be held Monday 30 March at 15:35.
The top three presenters will be awarded a plaque, a certificate and a free registration to attend EHRA 2021.
