(1) Reduced fee : applies to Young cardiologists below 35, Nurse/Students/Technicians and Abstract presenters below 35. An official statement both signed and stamped by the Head of Department and proving Nurse/Technician status will have to be provided during the registration process. For young delegates and students, a piece of ID and a valid student card, respectively, will be necessary.

Please note that the ESC Press Office will verify your credentials before giving you any accreditation.

Company or media outlet business cards or membership cards will not be accepted as valid. Press registration is not available to Industry or its Public Relations representatives, event management, marketing or communications representatives, even if they have a valid press card.

Any media outlet or press representative wishing to attend an ESC Event and/or to obtain official press releases from the ESC Press Office, must commit to respecting any and all embargoes set by the ESC.

Visa Requirement & Invitation Letter

A customised invitation letter for visa purposes is only available for delegates with a confirmed and registration that has been paid in full. Please use the contact us form to request an invitation letter.

The letter is intended to help delegates raise travel funds or obtain a visa but does not imply the ESC will provide financial support.

In case of a visa request rejection, the ESC will refund the full registration fee only upon receipt of the official refusal document from the Embassy.

Please visit the website of the Italy Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for further information concerning the documents required to obtain a visa. We urge all delegates to keep in mind that a visa application may take some time to be processed and should, therefore, be initiated early enough to ensure it is accepted before the Congress begins.

We invite you to check with your local embassy regarding what sort of documents are necessary, as this may differ between delegates from the same country.

Official agency for AIFA submissions (Prerichiesta AIFA)

According to Italian legislation, any Marketing Authorisation Holder or pharmaceutical company responsible for the commercialisation of a drug, which organises or helps to organise, whether by direct or indirect funding in Italy or abroad, a congress, or a meeting on topics in any way related to the use of medicines, shall notify the competent Unit of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) at least 60 days before the date of the event to ensure that these adhere to strict technical criteria and aim to provide further knowledge in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, biochemistry, physiology, pathology and clinical medicine.

AIM Group International has been appointed as the official agency for AIFA submission to support sponsors and exhibitors with these formalities. Pharmaceutical companies which require the authorisation from AIFA are advised to contact:
