The call for abstracts is now closed.

Results will be available online mid of November, an email will also be sent to each submitter.

  • 11 October 2019 (23:59, Paris time): abstract submission deadline.
  • Abstract submissions deadline extended to 15 October 2019 (23:59, Paris time)
  • Mid of November 2019: abstract results online. An email will also be sent to each submitter.
  • 19 December 2019: early registration deadline: all abstract presenters must register for the congress.

Presentation Formats

Selected abstracts will be assigned to different presentation formats.

Each session is built to give the maximum visibility to the research and the opportunity for exchange and interactions with peers and key opinion leaders.

Research Prize - Rewarding Excellence in Unpublished Research

Content:  Unpublished research in acute cardiovascular care with a focus on quality of care , clinical outcomes, or translational research applied to the development of novel therapeutic, diagnostic and logistical strategies to improve patient care and long-term outcomes.

Selection process: All applicants for the Research Prize will be requested to upload their CVs and publication list when submitting their abstract.

The Research Prize selection comittee will review the final top scoring abstracts along with the submitted CVs and publication list to appoint four finalists.

The winner will be appointed on-site after the presentation.

Prize:

The four finalists will receive:

  • Acute Cardiovascular Care Ivory Membership
  • Complimentary online access to the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook 
  • Free registrations for Acute Cardiovascular Care 2020 and 2021

The winner will receive:

  • €1,500
  • Acute Cardiovascular Care Silver Membership
  • Complimentary printed copy of the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook

Abstracts will be selected and assigned by the Scientific Programme Committee.

Abstracts not selected for the Research Prize session will be automatically considered for other oral presentation or poster presentation (if accepted).

Young Investigator Award (YIA) Competition

A session dedicated to researchers 35 or below - presenting top research in the field.

Selection process:

Six finalists will be selected to present their abstracts and will be judged by a panel of experts who will appoint a winner on-site.

Conditions:

Your abstract(s) must be submitted under the option “Young Investigator Award”.

The first author/presenter must be 35 years old or less at the time of the congress.

Your abstract must be accepted for presentation in the YIA session at Acute Cardiovascular Care Congress 2020.

Rewards: 

The winner of the YIA competition will be granted the Avi Shimony Prize and will get:

  • €1,500 Prize
  • Acute Cardiovascular Care Silver membership
  • Complimentary printed copy of the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
  • Free registrations for Acute Cardiovascular Care 2020 and 2021
  • A certificate

The finalists of the YIA competition will get:

  • Acute Cardiovascular Care Ivory Membership
  • Complimentary online access to the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
  • Free registrations for Acute Cardiovascular Care 2020 and 2021
  • A certificate


We highlight the fact that only the Presenter may have a prize and the certificate addressed to him/her.

Abstracts will be selected and assigned by the Scientific Programme Committee. Abstracts not selected for a YIA Session will be automatically considered for other oral presentation or poster presentation (if accepted).

Moderated Poster Sessions

The ideal platform to meet presenters, colleagues and peers in front of their research and discuss their findings. 

Selected presenters are invited to discuss their abstract in front of an audience during dedicated breaks - they will be challenged by the moderators!

Moderated poster presenters will receive a certificate.

Poster Sessions

Selected research will be on display in the Poster Area.

Presenters will have time to meet and exchange on their study during dedicated breaks.

Clinical Cases will be presented in a dedicated corner of the Poster Area.

A discussant, expert in your topic, will be available and meet you at your Poster during the morning coffee breaks in order to stimulate informal discussion and to motivate scientific exchange.
