The ESC Scientific Programme Committee would like to thank all the contributors who have chosen Heart Failure 2026 to submit their clinical case.
The Heart Failure Congress Programme Committee would like to acknowledge the members of the Clinical Case reviewing committee for their essential contribution to the clinical case programme.
All clinical case submitters have now been notified by email about the status of their abstract(s) and can view the results from their My ESC account.
How to confirm your clinical case presentation
Confirmation of your presentation should be done as soon as possible.
STEP 1 - The submitter must sign in to their My ESC account with the email and password used at the time of submission to consult the abstract presentation day, time and format.
STEP 2 - The presenter must register for the congress - you benefit from the early fee until 9 April 2026.
STEP 3 - The presenter can start preparing their presentation by consulting the Presenter Guidelines.
Important dates
End of February 2026 - Clinical Case results announcement. A notification email has been sent to each submitter.
23 March 2026 – Early fee registration deadline for clinical case presenters. All clinical case presenters must register for the congress. Take advantage of the early fee.
Early March - Opening of the upload platform. A notification will be sent to each presenter.
9 April 2026 - Deadline for the assigned presenters to confirm presentation(s) and submit the related agreement form(s)
9 April 2026 - Deadline for presenters to register and upload presentations. Failure to upload and register to the congress by this deadline will lead to the withdrawal of the clinical case from the scientific programme and all related publications.
Presentation formats
All presenters will be required to present their research onsite in Barcelona.
Selected clinical cases will be assigned to dedicated sessions.
Each session will be built to give the maximum visibility to the work and the opportunity for exchange and interactions with peers and key opinion leaders.
Clinical Case Award
The best cases will be presented in this Award session which will be held onsite and chaired by senior faculty members. Finalists are asked to summarise their case and explain how they managed the patient. Each presentation will be followed by a Questions & Answers period led by a panel of experts who will judge the presentations and determine the winners and runners-up.
Finalists are required to present their research onsite in Barcelona.

Cases have been selected and assigned by the Scientific Programme Committee. Cases not selected for this session have been automatically considered for other presentation formats.
Oral Clinical Case Sessions
Presenting your clinical case at HF2026 will allow you to give your work worldwide long-term exposure and multinational connections with all subspeciality professionals.
Clinical cases will be presented in highly interactive and educational sessions featured in the dedicated Clinical Case Corners.
Clinicians will present their cases to two experts in the topic who will moderate the session, facilitate interaction with the audience, prompt discussions, challenge the presenters and the audience.
