Take the RER B line in the direction of Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and get off at Gare du Nord. From there, transfer to RER E (Magenta line), heading towards Nanterre La Folie, and stop at Neuilly–Porte Maillot. Follow the signs for Sortie n°2 – Palais des Congrès or Sortie Avenue Charles de Gaulle / Palais des Congrès. The entire journey takes approximately 45 minutes and offers a convenient and direct connection to the congress venue.

Take Bus 480 to Aéroport Orly 1-2-3. From there, transfer to the OrlyBus (line BUSM14) heading to Denfert-Rochereau. At Denfert-Rochereau, take Bus 38 and get off at Luxembourg. Finally, transfer to Bus 82, which will take you directly to Porte Maillot near the Palais des Congrès. This multi-leg journey takes approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions. It is advisable to allow extra time during peak travel hours and to check real-time schedules for smooth connections.

Public transportation in Paris

Metro

The metro operates every day including public holidays from around 06:00 a.m. to 00:30 a.m. Times of the first and last trains vary depending on the point along the line that you are departing from. Trains are less frequent on Sundays and public holidays. There are 16 metro lines in Paris and over 300 metro stations throughout the city.

The Palais des Congrès is primarily served by Métro Line 1 (Yellow line) at the Porte Maillot station, situated between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and Les Sablons stations. This line runs east-west across Paris, connecting major hubs from La Défense Grande Arche in the west to Château de Vincennes in the east. To reach Palais des Congrès, board Line 1 trains heading towards La Défense Grande Arche if coming from central or eastern Paris. The Porte Maillot station has multiple exits; the most convenient for Palais des Congrès is clearly signposted and leads directly to the venue.

RER

RER C (yellow line) connects suburban termini such as Versailles–Rive Gauche and Pontoise to central Paris stations like Invalides and Gare d’Austerlitz. It stops at Neuilly – Porte Maillot, which is linked by pedestrian passageways to the Métro Porte Maillot station and the Palais des Congrès. Note that RER A (red line) and RER E (magenta line) do not stop at Porte Maillot. To reach Palais des Congrès, use Metro Line 1 or RER C, exiting at Porte Maillot / Neuilly – Porte Maillot, then follow signs for Sortie 2 – Palais des Congrès.

Bus

Several bus lines provide convenient access to the Porte Maillot – Palais des Congrès stop, located on Avenue de la Grande Armée / Boulevard Gouvion Saint Cyr, directly adjacent to the entrance of the Palais des Congrès. Bus lines 73, 82, 244, and PC (Petite Ceinture) all serve this stop. Bus 73 runs between La Défense and Musée d’Orsay, making it a direct option for delegates coming from central Paris or the business district. Bus 82 connects key locations such as the Hôpital Américain and Luxembourg, with a stop near the congress venue.

Additionally, Bus 244 and PC1 (which follows part of the historic Petite Ceinture route) terminate or originate at Porte Maillot, providing further access from various neighborhoods in the western suburbs. These lines offer reliable and frequent service, making bus travel a practical choice for reaching the congress site. The bus stop, named Porte Maillot – Palais des Congrès, is located on Avenue de la Grande Armée / Boulevard Gouvion‐Saint‐Cyr, immediately adjacent to the Palais des Congrès entrance.

Bike

Paris’s flagship bike-sharing service, Vélib’ Métropole, offers both mechanical (green) and electric (blue) bikes across an extensive network of approximately 1,480 docking stations throughout the city and suburbs
