EACVI 2026, Milan, from 3 to 5 December

Share your most educational and insightful clinical cases

Submitting a clinical case to EACVI 2026 is an opportunity to highlight real‑world challenges, demonstrate your imaging expertise, and contribute to the collective learning of our multimodality community.

By presenting your case, you will receive constructive feedback from international leaders, engage in meaningful discussions, and build valuable connections for future collaborations to support your professional growth.

The four top‑rated clinical cases are selected to compete in the 'Clinical Case Award' session and all accepted contributions are published on ESC 365, extending the impact of your work long after the congress.

Congress educational grants - EACVI offers free registrations for selected clinical case presenters with limited access to fundings. Eligibility and applications open in July 2026.

Mark your calendar with key dates

  • Tuesday, 24 March 2026 - Opening of clinical case submissions
  • Tuesday, 2 June 2026 – 12:00 (noon) CEST - Clinical cases submission deadline
  • Early July 2026 - Clinical case results announcement online. An email will also be sent to each submitter

Prepare your submission

Your clinical case must be clear, educational, practical and real.

The purpose of a clinical case presentation is to communicate diagnostic reasoning in the light of the current ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines providing a clear description of the patient’s condition and further management options based on these guidelines.

Your case needs to be educational and does not necessarily need to be rare or unusual.

Presentation formats

All presenters will be required to present their clinical case, in dedicated sessions, during the congress in Milan, Italy.

Each session is designed to give maximum visibility to your work and create meaningful opportunities for exchange and interaction with peers and key opinion leaders.

Clinical Case Award session

The four top-rated clinical cases are selected to compete in the Clinical Case Award session, chaired by senior faculty members.
Presenters will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • Originality of the case
  • Case management
  • Presentation (demonstrating learning points from the case)
  • Answers to questions

Each finalist will receive an award certificate and a free registration for the congress. The winner will also receive a free registration for EACVI 2027.

Presenters whose clinical case is selected for presentation in the Award session, will receive specific instructions.

Clinical Case sessions

Presenting your clinical case at EACVI 2026 gives your work long-term global visibility and fosters meaningful connections across all imaging modalities.

Clinical cases will be presented in highly interactive and educational sessions, moderated by two experts who will facilitate interaction with the audience, prompt discussion and challenge presenters in a supportive learning environment.
