Advancing cardiovascular research together

At the European Society of Cardiology, we believe that collaboration and knowledge-sharing are key to advancing cardiovascular research and improving heart health for everyone. In addition to our own scientific initiatives, we partner with leading institutions across Europe through major European Union (EU) funded consortia. We provide guidance and support on current EU funding opportunities and offer grants and fellowships to empower emerging researchers in cardiology.

The ESC drives innovation across a wide spectrum of cardiovascular research

From advancing trustworthy artificial intelligence for heart failure prediction (AI4HF) and pioneering personalised care through big data and genomics (NextGen), to setting rigorous standards for high-risk medical devices (CORE-MD). 

We lead transformative initiatives such as EuroHeartPath, redesigning care pathways across Europe, and GREG, shaping real-world evidence practices for regulatory and clinical decision-making. 

Through these and many other EU funded projects, we collaboraten to deliver safer, more precise, and patient-centered cardiovascular care.
