Diagnosis and management of cardiac manifestations in anderson fabry disease and glycogen storage diseases

The aim of this document is to describe general and cardiac manifestations of AFD and increase the awareness about the disease among cardiologists.

Diagnosis and management of myocardial involvement in systemic immune-mediated disease

The aim of this multidisciplinary document is to help cardiologists and non-cardiac specialists to select the appropriate diagnostic workup in SIDs, setting the stage for future therapeutic choices.

Proposal for a revised definition of dilated cardiomyopathy, hypokinetic non-dilated cardiomyopathy, and its implication

The aim of this document is to update the definition of DCM to take into account its diverse aetiology and clinical manifestations in patients and relatives. We do not describe the general management of left ventricular systolic dysfunction as this is covered in existing European Society of Cardiology (ESC) heart failure guidelines but do consider the implications of an aetiology oriented approach to therapy.

Current state of knowledge on aetiology, diagnosis, management, and therapy of myocarditis

In this document, an expert consensus group has reviewed the current literature on clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of myocarditis and propose new diagnostic criteria for clinically suspected myocarditis. The aims are to bridge the gap between clinical and tissue-based diagnosis, to improve management and provide a common reference point for future registries and multicentre randomised controlled trials of aetiology driven treatment in inflammatory heart muscle disease.
