About the Community

How the EAPC supports its Young Community

As a member of the EAPC Young Community, you benefit from:

Discounted EAPC Membership.
Discounted ESC Preventive Cardiology congress registration for EAPC Members under the age of 40.
Young Investigators Award sessions at ESC Preventive Cardiology congress.
Networking opportunities (open meetings, social events and more).

Eligibility

If you are an EAPC Member, under 40 years of age, and a young professional (cardiologist, general practitioner, nurse or allied professional) or medical student, then you will automatically be part of this dynamic community. There is no need to apply.

The EAPC Young Community Core Group members are the voice of the EAPC Young Community within the Association and in their respective committees. They also assist the EAPC Young Community Board Representative in the definition and implementation of the EAPC Young Community Strategic plan and in the coordination of the EAPC Young Ambassadors Network.

Young Community Core Group Members are appointed for a two-year mandate with the possibility to extend their mandate once, upon validation by the EAPC President, for a total of four years maximum.

EAPC Young Ambassadors are representing the EAPC and are the main point of contact for young scientists and physicians in their country.

The EAPC Young Community LinkedIn group is a network of young physicians and allied professionals interested in cardiovascular prevention, basic science, rehabilitation, and sports cardiology. The group is where young professionals can brainstorm new projects in preventive cardiology.

Held during the ESC Preventive Cardiology Congress, the EAPC Career Café connects young healthcare professionals and international experts during one-on-one in-person meetings. Selected applicants will receive career development advice and recommendations from seasoned and successful leaders in their fields.
