A volunteer-led society
Our volunteers are the beating heart of the ESC. Around 7,000 dedicated volunteers contribute over 200,000 hours every year, driving our mission forward.
Among them, 1,500 ESC Officers are elected, appointed or invited to join the ESC Board, Committees, Task Forces or Study Groups to help guide our strategic direction and future. These volunteers include cardiologists, researchers, nurses, allied professionals and other experts, who all play an active role in supporting our vision.
