Our objectives
The members of the society are cardiologists or other professionals involved with heart disease.
The CME programme includes a seminar at the Heart House once a month.
The working groups are supervised directly by the Vice-President although they have "autonomy" in programming their annual meeting.
Their committee members are elected among the SEC members every 2 years.
The Spanish Heart Foundation (Fundación Española del Corazón) helps to prevent cardiovascular diseases through educational programmes, fundraising to stimulate cardiovascular investigation and to promote the rehabilitation of cardiovascular patients.

Editor in Chief: Juan Sanchis Forés - REC: CardioClinics is an official journal of the Spanish Society of Cardiology within the Revista Española de Cardiología family devoted to the study, prevention, treatment and management of clinical cardiovascular medicine. The journal adheres to the norms of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors and the directives of the Committee on Publication Ethics. Articles are published both in English and Spanish.
Editor in Chief: Sergio Raposeiras - REC: Interventional Cardiology was launched in 2019 and is the official publication of the Hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology Section (SHCI) of the Spanish Society of Cardiology, part of the Revista Española de Cardiología (REC Publications) family, devoted to the study, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. It is an official journal of the Spanish Society of Cardiology. REC: Interventional Cardiology is a peer-reviewed bilingual (Spanish and English) quarterly journal, published online with a very limited print edition. The journal is owned by the Spanish Society of Cardiology and published in collaboration with Permanyer. It is funded entirely by the SHCI. All articles are open access.
