Journal

The first issue of the Cyprus Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine was published in 2008. The journal includes original work by CSC members and the aim is to publish every six months. For more information, contact the editorial office: email to the secretariat of the Cyprus Society of Cardiology

Main Activities

A regular, biannual international cardiology meeting has been held since 1979 with the participation of leading cardiologists from Europe and the United States. 

In association with the Hellenic Cardiology Society, a regular biannual Cypro-Hellenic cardiology meeting has been held since 1994. 

Regular, monthly scientific meetings are held for members. Over 15 scientific meetings/lectures are held every year, either by the Society or under its auspices.

Participation in research programmes

The CSC is actively involved in European proceedings, participating in multicentre studies and European programmes since 2000. In 2007, the CSC took part in the EuroAspire III study, which aimed to identify the targets for secondary prevention in patients with coronary artery disease and to check if preventive screening has been undertaken in their families.

Participation in international meetings

Many of its members post abstracts for the annual European, pan-Hellenic and other international cardiology meetings.
