EHRA Surveys and the EHRA Scientific Initiatives Committee

The EHRA Scientific Initiatives Committee (SIC) undertakes research through short EP surveys with the aim of providing a picture of daily EP practice in Europe and insight into how consistently arrhythmia treatment is applied across ESC member countries. Particular focus is placed on the implementation of current arrhythmia-related ESC Guidelines.

EU Funded Projects on Arrhythmias

ESCAPE-NET advanced SCA prevention and management through a large European data resource, while PROFID, AFFECT-EU and EHRA PATHS each develop and validate risk-based tools and care pathways to improve outcomes in sudden cardiac death and atrial fibrillation across Europe.

EHRA Patient Surveys

These patient and general population surveys are anonymous online questionnaires designed to gather insights from patients and the wider public.

EHRA Physician & Centre Based Surveys

Recent surveys cover topics such as wearable defibrillators, vascular access, ventricular fibrillation, lifestyle in atrial fibrillation, bipolar ablation, and genetic testing. Results and publications are available to read.
