Videos

Developed with the support of the ESC Patient Group, patient information videos have been produced on angiography, angiography angioplasty, left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the mitral valve and TAVI.

These videos are available for use by physicians to assist in explaining these procedures. They can be accessed below by EAPCI Members, although they are not meant as a stand-alone tool for explaining the procedure. They provide adjunctive information about how these procedures are performed, in a visual format. The videos are available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Please note, the videos are only accessible to logged in EAPCI members.

European Patient Experience in the Catheterisation Laboratory (PATCATH)

With engagement from the ESC patient group, a Patient Reported Experience Measurements (PREM) questionnaire was drafted and is now available in ten different languages as the “European Patient Experience in the Catheterisation Laboratory” (PATCATH). The aim of this questionnaire is to understand and improve patients' experience while undergoing catheterisation laboratory-based procedures (angiography and/or angioplasty). The data collected is intended to be used to evaluate and improve the quality of care received by patients in the future. This questionnaire is made available to physicians/hospitals, and no data will be collected by the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, a branch of the European Society of Cardiology.
