Four certification courses are available to help you build expertise in one or more imaging techniques. Each course covers the essential knowledge of its respective modality, following the key topics outlined in the core syllabus. Each course is composed of short on-demand videos, with 20+ hours of lectures in total. By completing the courses, you will achieve Level 1 certification.

What is Level 1?

Level 1 is "how it works" and not "how to do".

Level 1 is the level of knowledge needed to know what a modality does and what it is used for.

Each course comprises recorded lectures by renowned experts, including at least one clinical case, and MCQs.

A Level 1 certificate will be given after completion of the course.

Who should start with Level 1?

This programme has been designed to cover the needs of a broad audience:

Anyone needing basic knowledge of imaging modalities.
General cardiologists (university and private practice).
Non-cardiologists and allied professionals (GPs, nurses, technicians, etc.).
For imagers, it can be a first step before level 2 on techniques outside their speciality.

Programme

These are the short videos based on the main topics of the core syllabus of each modality.

Cardiac CT - Level 1 programme:

CCT1 - Cardiac CT fundamentals
CCT2 – Basic interpretation of CT images: case-based sessions
CCT3 – Coronary calcium score
CCT4 – Coronary CT angiography in patients with chronic coronary syndrome
CCT5 – Additional applications of coronary CT angiography
CCT6 – Large vessel diseases
CCT7 – How to incorporate cardiac CT findings in patient management decisions
CCT8 – CT in valvular heart disease
CCT9 – Correlation of cardiac CT findings with other imaging modalities

Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging - Level 1 programme:

CMR1 – Physics, safety, devices, CMR methodology and anatomy
CMR2 – Ischaemic heart disease
CMR3 – Non-ischaemic cardiomyopathies
CMR4 – Pericardium
CMR5 – Large vessels
CMR6 – Valvular heart diseases
CMR7 – Cardiac masses
CMR8 – Congenital heart disease
CMR9 – Incidental and extracardiac findings

Echocardiography - Level 1 programme:

Echo1 – Echocardiographic examination: basic principles and different techniques/modalities
Echo2 – The left heart (LA and LV)
Echo3 – Ischaemic and non-ischaemic cardiomyopathies
Echo4 – The right heart
Echo5 – Valvular heart diseases
Echo6 – Congenital heart diseases and large vessels
Echo7 – Other diseases
Echo8 – Echocardiographic report

Nuclear Cardiology - Level 1 programme

NC1 – Fundamentals of nuclear cardiology
NC2 – Ischaemic heart disease
NC3 – Non-ischaemic cardiomyopathies and myocarditis
NC4 – Inflammation and Infection Imaging
NC5 – Congenital heart disease
NC6 – Cardio-oncology and cardiac masses
