Purpose
The overarching goal of the Think Tank is to recommend actions to the ESC Board on how best to prepare the cardiology workforce and the ESC organisation for likely future changes in the practice of cardiology and cardiovascular research.
The Think Tank on Innovation was created in 2022 to analyse future challenges and identify opportunities for cardiology and the ESC due to digital transformation and biomedical innovations. By identifying the main drivers of change (science, technology, patients, medical professions, and healthcare business), it aims to identify key challenges arising from these predicted changes and to propose specific measures and actions for the ESC.
