Objectives of the CRT Meeting

The May and July CRT meetings aim to discuss implementation of science in cardiovascular medicine and define a vision for the promotion and adoption of evidence-based practices by integrating various ESC activities into routine health to improve patient outcomes.

The May meeting will focus on the barriers that may limit the widespread adoption of the ESC Guidelines and delve into these challenges on local, regional and national levels. We will discuss how data collection and educational activities can help identify gaps in implementation, and discuss how healthcare systems and socio-economic aspects may impact the adoption and acceptance of guideline-indicated treatments.

The July meeting will propose innovative mechanisms and quality of care improvement strategies aimed at addressing the ‘evidence-practice’ gap, with the ultimate goal of proposing a comprehensive implementation programme to improve patient care.
