Strategic Think Tanks
Anticipating the future of cardiology
Our Strategic Think Tanks
Shaping the future of cardiovascular medicine
Our goal is to be proactive in anticipating change so we’re ready and respond effectively
Our Strategic Think Tanks are a vital part of this commitment. These small, agile groups of experts look beyond the immediate horizon to explore critical emerging trends, from digital health to public policy shifts.
By identifying important issues early, our strategy, guidelines and activities remain aligned with the evolving needs of our community and the patients you care for.
ESC Spring Summit
Driving shared dialogue for progress
The annual ESC Spring Summit is our most important strategic meeting
Bringing together leaders from National Cardiac Societies, Associations, Working Groups, Councils, journal Editors-in-Chief, members of our Patient Forum and emerging voices from the next generation of cardiovascular leaders.
These innovative meetings spark meaningful dialogue on critical topics, from the responsible use of AI in cardiology to data science and cardiovascular health policy, ensuring our collective direction makes a real impact for patients and the next generation of leaders.
Cardiovascular Round Table
A strategic forum for high-level dialogue
Bringing together ESC leaders, industry representatives, regulators and patients
Our Cardiovascular Round Table (CRT) meets several times a year and serves as a high-level strategic forum. Together, we discuss and identify key strategic issues shaping the future of cardiovascular health in Europe.
The CRT aims to foster a supportive environment for research, innovation, prevention and management, allowing the ESC to act as a trusted bridge between stakeholders and positioning us as a key strategic force for cardiovascular health across Europe.
ESC Think Tank on Innovation
The future of cardiology practice beyond 2030
Identifying key challenges, opportunities and drivers of change
Created in 2022, our Think Tank on Innovation advises the ESC Board on actions that help cardiology professionals, allied health professionals, and our organisation stay ahead in clinical practice and research.
We explore the impact of digital transformation and biomedical advances, identifying key challenges, opportunities and drivers of change across science, technology, healthcare and patient care. Based on these insights, we recommend measures that ensure the ESC continues to lead and support your communities.
