More about our volunteer community and leadership
Our governance
Strong governance guides everything we do, ensuring all decisions align with our mission while providing accountability. Our robust governing framework is underpinned by our people through democratic elections and actively upheld by dedicated committees.
ESC Board Committees
The ESC’s activities are carried out dedicated volunteers from around the world. To manage our core activities effectively and transparently, teams of volunteers work within dedicated ESC Board Committees, ensuring accountability and aligning their expertise with our shared mission.
Our Volunteers
As an organisation, we’re driven by volunteers, and their contributions are invaluable to our collective mission. We’re proud to have a network of around 7,000 dedicated people who place patients at the heart of everything they do and actively help us shape the future of cardiovascular health.
