The Communications Committee was born in September 2020 from the merger of the former ESC Media Committee (focused on mainstream communication channels – press, social media) and the ESC e-Communication Committee (focused on digital communication channels – web, emails).

Purpose of the Committee

The purpose of this committee is to contribute to and accompany the ESC in the deployment of the global strategic vision and mission as stated in the ESC Strategic Plan. To do this, the committee monitors, guides, and advises on ESC communication matters, initiatives, and activities. It also contributes to communication content to ensure it is relevant, focused, and accessible to ESC audiences. The Communications Committee also ensures that every communication tool and platform we use is engaging, relevant, and impactful and, importantly, that members promote and support communication initiatives throughout the ESC.

The committee has a general overarching objective to improve communication with our audiences by ensuring the dissemination of clear, strong, efficient, credible, and engaging messaging.
