Our Board and Leadership

Leadership built on trust and passion

ESC Presidential trio 2024-2026
Our strength comes from a community of passionate experts who generously donate their time and knowledge to drive our mission to improve cardiovascular health on a global scale.

ESC Board

Driving our vision and strategy

ESC Board 2024-2026

We are led by the ESC Board, which comprises elected and non-elected members. The Board is inclusive, with members representing our Associations, Working Groups and Councils and our National Cardiac Societies. Our Board works closely with the ESC Management Group and dedicated staff, who ensure the day-to-day delivery of our vision as a society.

Our Committees and Board Task Forces

Turning plans into action

Our activities are carried out by hundreds of dedicated volunteers from around the world, who work within specialised Committees, Task Forces, and specific work groups. Each group reports on its objectives to the Board through a dedicated Chair, ensuring accountability and aligning its expertise with our shared mission.

Communities leadership

Expertise and experience across all professions

Each of the ESC's subspecialty communities - our Associations, Working Groups and Councils - are represented on the ESC Board. They also hold their own elections and have their own Boards, Committees and Task Forces. Members of these groups are listed within each of subspecialty community sections. This is important to leverage the expertise and experience across all professions and areas that cover the full spectrum of cardiology.
