Featured Commentary. In this issue, Prof. Ines Drenjančević provides insights on the paper “Sex disparities in hypertension prevalence, blood pressure trajectories and the effects of anti-hypertensive treatment” which offers novel perspectives on Microcirculation; Cardiovascular Diseases; Blood Pressure. There are marked sex-disparities in age-dependent prevalence, blood pressure trajectories and microvascular function and structure which are discussed in the commented paper.
