Brussels, 1 December 2025: The European Alliance for Cardiovascular Health (EACH) will host the EACH Cardiovascular Health Summit in Brussels on 10–11 December. The summit takes place at a decisive moment as the EU prepares to adopt the Cardiovascular Health Plan, a milestone for prevention, equity, and digital innovation. The Secretariat of EACH is provided by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death and disability in the EU, affecting 62 million people and costing €282 billion annually. “Early detection, timely intervention, and better long-term management — combined with prevention and rehabilitation — can dramatically reduce premature cardiovascular deaths in Europe,” said Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher, President of the European Society of Cardiology. “The EU Cardiovascular Health Plan will be pivotal in improving outcomes and enabling citizens to live healthier, more active lives.”
