Looking forward to ESC Preventive Cardiology 2024: a message from the Hellenic Society of Cardiology

ESC Preventive Cardiology 2024, Athens, 25-27 April

The Hellenic Society of Cardiology (HCS) is thrilled to welcome ESC Preventive Cardiology 2024 in Athens. The Hellenic Cardiological Society (ΗCS), a non-profit organisation established on 7 September 1948 which now counts over 3,800 members. Our headquarters -  the 'Hellenic Heart House' - are conveniently located in the centre of Athens, accommodate a state-of-the-art Lecture Hall and a Museum of Cardiology, open to the public.

The Hellenic Society of Cardiology aims to improve prevention, diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases in Greece.

The major goals of the Society are the continued education of Greek cardiologists and cardiology Fellows, promoting awareness of cardiovascular disease risk factors and prevention, advocating activities directly related to clinical practice as well as supporting cardiovascular research.

Our vision for the next decade is to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, so that they will no longer constitute the first cause of death in our country.

The action plan of the HCS is based on information, education, and awareness, not only for healthcare professionals but also the state and the public, with respect to cardiovascular disease and associated risk factors.

The Members of the Board, being aware of its scientific responsibility in a very difficult socio-economic era, strongly believe that congresses offer a platform for exchanging ideas, learning, and understanding innovative techniques and new therapeutic approaches – we are therefore delighted to support the organisation of ESC Preventive Cardiology 2024 in Athens.

Holding the congress in Athens will ensure an unforgettable experience both for organizers and participants, all of whom will enjoy unique heritage sites and the rich tapestry of services, facilities, and experiences that our home city has to offer.

Athens has been a rising destination, building a contemporary identity that blends authentic vibrant atmosphere with our unique historic heritage.

Wishing you all a very successful and productive congress, we invite you to enjoy Modern and Heritage Athens.

Looking forward to welcoming you in Athens.
