Dear members of the ESC Working Group on e-Cardiology,
It is with great pleasure that I send you an update on the activities of our working group (WG) along with a selection of recommended readings on various topics. I have the privilege and joy to announce the recently published position paper of the ESC Working Group on e-Cardiology in the European Heart Journal – Digital Health. Congratulations to all contributing authors and particularly to Magnus T. Jensen.
As already pointed out, EHRA online Congress will take place from 23 to 25 April. This innovative Digital Experience is expected to replace, this year, our in-person EHRA Congress. Best abstracts from those submitted within the topic of e-Cardiology/Digital Health will be presented during an online “Best oral e-Cardiology Award session”.
The Computing in Cardiology (CinC) conference 2021 (September, 12-15) will be organized in hybrid format in Brno, Czech Republic. The new CinC 2021 web site is up and abstract submission is open since March 8th.
The WG e-Cardiology ESC – CinC: Clinical Needs Translational Award (CTA) will also happen again this year; this is a team-based award for submissions of strong translational impact.
The interest in the new European Heart Journal - Digital Health is booming. This journal proved to be an excellent initiative that is going to highlight, disseminate and support the Digitalization of Cardiovascular Care. European Heart Journal - Digital Health is an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal, with a specific focus on digital health in cardiovascular medicine, connecting physicians with biomedical engineers, researchers, and allied health professionals.
On behalf of the entire WG Nucleus I wish you all the best,
Polychronis Dilaveris, MD, PhD, FESC
Chairperson ESC WG on e-Cardiology 2020-2022
