We hope our June newsletter reaches you and your families well and safe. We are pleased to announce that the online Symposium entitled: “Does atherosclerosis have a sex & gender? Perspectives from basic science to clinical practice”, took place successfully on Wednesday April 28, 2021 from 17:00 to 18:30 CEST in the frame of the Council of Basic Cardiovascular Science (CBCS) Spring Program. We are grateful to the CBCS for this great opportunity. We gathered world renowned experts from the USA and Europe in the field of atherosclerosis to discuss differences between sexes and genders from the perspectives of fundamental and translational research. We had almost two hundred registrations and hundreds of members are currently taking advantage of the possibility to watch the recording of this outstanding event.
