ESC Education and Professional Development Committee

Purpose of the Committee

The ESC Education and Professional Development Committee defines and implements the ESC education strategy and roadmap, as well as assists with the coordination of the educational activities of the ESC and its constituent bodies. Its mission is to prevent, diagnose, and manage diseases of the heart and blood vessels, as well as improve scientific understanding of the heart and vascular system. The ESC Education and Professional Development Committee’s mission is to support and facilitate all activities underpinning deployment of the ESC’s strategic plan, including coordination of the educational activities of the ESC and its constituent bodies. This support extends to CME, certification, accreditation, courses, and webinars. The committee reports to the ESC Board.
